Going Green? So Is Mitsubishi

Everyone in Pittsburgh is thinking “green” this week with St. Patrick’s Day, but we’re thinking green for another reason—fuel economy!

The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) named the 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage one of the greenest vehicles on the market today. In fact, the Mirage was the only gasoline-powered vehicle that wasn’t a hybrid, EV, PHEV or natural-gas powered vehicle to earn this distinction.

To make the cut, each year Greencars.org, which is part of ACEEE, analyzes the impact or lack thereof that new production vehicles have on the environment. Each vehicle is given a Green Score that is determined based on the vehicle’s lifecycle greenhouse gas, as well as the Environmental Protection Agency’s criteria for pollutant emissions.
