How to Connect Your Phone to Your Outlander Sport!

Jim Shorkey, Mitsubishi, jim shorkey,

Connecting bluetooth can be a trying experience if you are unfamiliar with a vehicle or a device.  Here at Jim Shorkey Mitsubishi, we have some helpful hints to connect your phone to your loved Mitsubishi.

Vehicle Setup

  1. Press the speech button on the steering wheel. It displays the image of a head with speech lines coming from the mouth.  Wait for the beep.
  2. After the beep, say “Setup.” The vehicle will list several options through the audio system at this point. Wait until it has completed the list and beeps again.
  3. Say “Pairing options.” Again, the vehicle will list options like list phones, select phone and pair a new phone. Wait for the beep.
  4. Say “Pair.” The Outlander will dictate instructions, and ask you for a four-digit PINcode.
  5. Say ANY four-digit pin code. You will use this PIN code on your phone right away to complete the pairing procedure.

Phone Setup

  1. From the “Settings” menu, select Bluetooth.
  2. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled, or set to “On.”
  3. Start a search on your phone for new devices.
  4. Once detected, “Hands-Free System” or a similar name will display. Select it.
  5.  Enter the four-digit PIN number you selected previously. In some cases, the PIN number will display and you will only need to confirm that is it correct.
  6. Your vehicle will ask you for a name associated with the cellphone.  Say your name after the beep.
  7. The vehicle will confirm by saying “Pairing Complete.”

The Mitsubishi Outlander Is Both Safe and Stylish with Awards and Features to Boot

What can you get at Jim Shorkey Mitsubishi that is both safe and stylish? It’s no other than the 2015  Mitsubishi Outlander!

The Outlander, along with two other Mitsubishi models, the Mirage and Outlander Sport, have earned the “Top Safety Pick” award from the Insurance Institute for Highway safety. The Outlander owes its award to its state-of-the-art technology features, especially the Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) feature. The S-AWC all-wheel drive system features the convenience of push-button activation in addition to four distinct driving modes – the standard “Normal” mode, enhanced traction in slippery conditions with the “SNOW” setting, maximum traction in “Lock” and an “AWC ECO” mode that maximizes fuel efficiency by operating primarily as a front-wheel drive vehicle that switches in a split-second to all-wheel drive when multiple sensors determine its necessity.

The Mitsubishi Outlander has been completely redesigned from last year. The latest and greatest Outlander offers an all-new interior upgrade featuring a more contemporary-looking aesthetic for the instrument panel, along with greatly improved materials including high-grade soft-touch premium surfaces. Other amenities for the 2015 Outlander include: automatic air conditioning with micron air filtration, an enhanced six speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3 – compatible audio system; leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, convenient steering wheel-mounted audio system and cruise controls, halogen headlights, and a tilt and telescopic steering wheel!

The Mitsubishi Outlander: Named One of the Most Affordable Third-Row Vehicles

While the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport demands attention (and rightfully so), it’s not the only passenger-toting Mitsubishi vehicle that deserves a second glance. It’s cousin, the Mitsubishi Outlander, offers a smooth and sophisticated ride that is also fun to drive. Named one of the most affordable third-row vehicles by Kelley Blue Book, the Outlander won’t break your piggy bank either.

We could go on for a while as to why we love this car, but admittedly, we are a little bias. Don’t just take our word for it though. Check out what other people are saying about this standout crossover SUV.

Wall St Cheat Sheet Autos

“Starting at right around $22,000, the Mitsubishi Outlander is a sporty SUV that offers plenty of room for all your friends and family.”

“The Outlander is aptly named, loaded with features that make it a great choice for drivers that like to get off the beaten path. Standard features include hill-start assist, traction control and stability control, all to keep you safe and secure no matter where the path takes you.”

“If you’re looking to get the whole crew off the road for the day, the Outlander should be a prime candidate.”

“If you’re just looking for a family wagon that sits SUV-upright and can haul five people, two little kids and some groceries in comfort, the Outlander ES or SE variants might be of interest.”

“The vehicle handles predictably, rides easily, cruises in reasonable quiet, and puts no undue burdens on anyone in the first two rows of seats.”

“Slide a high-torque gas-electric powertrain underneath an alloy Outlander body that’s been to the gym, dress up the interior with cool shapes, materials and toys, and roll it out the door at an everyday price, and watch our pulse rates climb. It could happen. Elsewhere in the world, Mitsubishi has just begun offering a plug-in hybrid Outlander that’s alleged to be the most efficient SUV on the planet.”
