Rumor Has It

There is a rumor going around that we want to see come to life! There is talk that Mitsubishi is closer to developing an EVO crossover! We know! We were just as excited! Mitsubishi has hinted in the past that the EVO name will continue on, just in the form of a high performance crossover.

Despite switching to a high-ride platform, the EVOs successor is promising to keep it “light and fast”. Tetsuro Aikawa, “Mitsubishi boss” has suggested it also may be an electric vehicle or possibly even a plug in hybrid, likely an all-wheel drive system that borrows the S-AWC technology found in the electric MiEV Evolution racer.

Ultimately, it does boil down to finances and whether or not Mitsubishi has the resources to do it. The fact that Mitsubishi has had record sales in the year 2014 makes it easier to do these sort of things. Although for now the future of the Mitsubishi EVO Crossover is still in the building block phase, you never know what the future may hold!
